The Jacobson Wedding Cakes

When our friends Mark and Rachel became engaged, and they asked me to make the cake, I gratefully replied YES! I love to make cakes, especially wedding cakes, because they are so frilly and pretty. I wasn't given a number of guests that were going to be at the wedding, I was only told, "I want a 4-tier square cake". Ok, I can do that, I thought. Then about 2 months before the wedding the couple came over to our place for a night of Rio Dell mini-golf and pizza, when they asked me if I would make a grooms cake as well. A little reluctantly I agreed... to make a pool table cake. YIKES! This was a super big challenge for me, not only because I needed to bake 10 cakes all together, but because I haven't really done much (any) cake sculpting or working with fondant. I'll let you judge the final products, pics are posted.
CONGRATULATIONS to Mark and Rachel, Cheers to many happy years!
